2023 British Superbikes Donington Park Race Results (1)
A heavy rainstorm at Donington caused chaos on the grid, including unusual tire choices and a surprising victory for Ryan Vickers, while the BeerMonster Ducati riders failed to score any points. The sprint race in round ten was delayed and shortened by two laps due to the conditions. Ryan Vickers took the risky decision to use wet tires against his mechanic’s advice, which ultimately paid off as he quickly took the lead and secured his second win of the season. Leon Haslam also performed well, using his knowledge of the track and BSB experience to finish in second place. Jack Kennedy and Luke Mossey battled for the final podium spot, with Mossey ultimately coming out on top. Kennedy finished fourth, making up the most positions in the race after starting in 21st place. The remaining riders struggled to stay upright in the treacherous conditions. Lee Jackson, Franco Bourne, Josh Brookes, Storm Stacey, Peter Hickman, and Louis Valleley completed the top ten. Tom Neave and Kyle Ryde finished in eleventh and twelfth place respectively, while the remaining points went to other riders.
